Greg Tyson, Vice President of Gabel Associates, has over 20 years of energy modeling experience. Mr. Tyson assists clients with the analysis of wholesale and retail power market issues and the implementation of business ventures in the energy industry. He is adept in conducting advanced energy price forecasting, modeling, and data analysis. He also monitors and analyzes environmental policies.
Mr. Tyson actively supports clients with energy project development and strategic power issues. He conducts in-depth long-term tariff modeling and wholesale power forecasts for all regions of the country. He also provides comprehensive modeling and economic and financial analysis, which includes internal rate of return calculations, environmental, social, and economic costs and benefits of policy proposals, payback forecasting, and sensitivity analyses. He provides cost/benefit analyses that identify the full value proposition of energy projects.
Mr. Tyson is also skilled at utilizing various modeling platforms including AURORAxmp, an established energy model that accounts for all fundamental market drivers and can provide long range power pricing.
In addition, he assists clients in successfully navigating utility and regional transmission organization issues, including the interconnection process. He is also engaged in environmental matters that affect the power generation industry and forecasts the supply, demand, and price of environmental attributes.
